This year, “The Big Elf”, Captain Ricky, who’s been at the helm of Santa’s Sleigh Jet Boat for the past 33 years, is taking his final voyage into retirement.
Since 1980, Captain Ricky’s led more than 92,000 rides and 2.6 million passengers up and down the beautiful Muskoka River. Second only to Santa in the Village popularity polls, The Big Elf captain will be missed by colleagues and visitors alike.
We invite you to take a ride with Captain Ricky this season and wish him well. Better yet, join us for his official farewell and birthday celebrations on Canada Day, Monday July 1. We’ll be celebrating with entertainment, birthday cake, and free balloons. Admission will be buy one get one free all day as a special recognition of Captain Ricky’s amazing time with Santa’s Village.

2:00 p.m.: Santa will arrive to celebrate. Cake and ice cream will be served.
