New Cabins at Santa’s Campground!

It has been a big week at Santa’s Whispering Pines Campground as we prepare to open for 2012 on May 18! This week we received our 3 new cabins, helping to complete the set overlooking the Muskoka River.

The addition of the two storey cabin allows us to meet the need of larger families who like to sleep off the ground. All three cabins still need the interior walls and floors finished but will be up a running for this summer. Rental rates are yet to be determined.

If any of these cabins interest you, complete the reservation request form in the Camping menu and we would be pleased to reserve one for your visit!

School and Daycare trip FUN

School and daycare week is just over a month away. Ask your childs teacher what they are doing for a year end trip, maybe its not too late to suggest a class trip to see SANTA. Special performances by childrens entertainer Ronno that includes educational materials that support the school curriculum, not to mention a great time of year to visit.

Fond Memories

As spring rolls around (actually it’s more like a taste of summer!) and we can see the sites at the campground again, memories of last summer come flooding back. Fond memories of working the land in the spring, watching families play and create memories during the summer, Friday nights sharing song and friendship around the campfire and the Rocket Launching contest at Santa’s Last Hooray in September.

This year, to celebrate our friends and campers, we are going to display a slideshow of photos in the Rec. Centre. We love to share our memories and would love to share yours. Email us your photos or upload them to our facebook page and we will include them in our display.

Enjoy the sunshine and warmth of March….may the sun shine bright (and rain at night) until September!

Did you visit Santa’s Village in the last few years? Do your kids still have their Elf Hat they got when entering the park? Let’s have some fun with it!

You could win a FREE Family Fun Day at Santa’s Village this summer!

Step 1) Get your Elf Hat (or make a new one!) and take a picture of your kids wearing it while doing fun activities at home or on vacation!

Step 2) Post the picture to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/santasvillageON

If you don’t have a Facebook account, then email your picture to pictures@santasvillage.ca and we will post them on Facebook for you! (You don’t need a Facebook account to view them)

Step 3) Check back for our monthly Winner!
(Winners will be drawn at random at the end of each month and posted on the 1st of the following month)

The Prize

Dora’s back for 2012 season

Dora the Explorer has been scheduled to make an appearance at Santa’s Village again this summer on Tuesday July 17 and Tuesday August 14 for meet and greets at noon, 1pm and 2pm. We are really thrilled that she was able to squeeze in these two visits to Santa’s Village, so mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out on the fun.
